Admiral Sims’ House in Newport, Rhode Island is a lovely 1883 Victorian home offering Bed and Breakfast (B&B) studios. Once home to Admiral William Sowden Sims (past President of the Naval War College) which inspired the name of our accommodation, it now features Studio Hotel rooms with King bed, Kitchenette, Gas fireplace, Private baths, Cable TV, Air-Conditioning, Free off-street parking, Free Wi-Fi, and “Grab ‘n go” breakfast of home-baked goodies.
The garden is private…yet, just minutes away, you’re in the center of Newport’s many activities, historical attractions, fine restaurants, ocean beach, and unique shops. At the end of each day, you’ll return to sleep in a quiet, historic setting. Whether you’re planning a short getaway or an extended stay, our family looks forward to welcoming you into our home for a perfect blend of Bed and Breakfast hospitality and convenience of a home away from home.
We stayed here on a trip to Newport in the early spring. Lovely apartment with a beautiful kitchen and large, comfortable living room. Everything was super clean and well appointed. The house is located right in town–we were able to walk to everything–to breakfast and dinner and sight seeing. Would recommend and would also return for a visit.
