Catherine Street at “Top of the Hill” and Mill Street on “Historic Hill” are neighborhoods nestled between Newport’s Ocean beach and Cliff Walk on one side…and its famous yachting wharfs, boutique shopping, and yummy restaurants on the other.
Both are perfect for military and government personnel (we can accommodate you at per diem rate when TDY / TAD) or folks that telework and need a change of scenery.
We also commit to protecting the health of our guests, community, and earth. Our super-duper disinfecting clean meets CDC guidelines. We have recycle bins for cans, bottles, and more. We are a member of “Project Planet” — a lodging industry program aimed at reducing water and detergent usage through linen & towel reuse. And our amenities are certified eco-friendly with minimal preservatives, labeling, and packing material. We never use bleach.

Catherine Street was built in 1883 as a summer home for Francis Jones of New York City. The namesake of this home – Admiral Sims – and his family made it their home when he retired from the Navy in 1925. THEY loved this house. WE love this house. And we think YOU will love it too!
The guest Studios are newly renovated and offer an equipped Kitchenette, Fireplace, King beds, and private baths. Extended stays, business, and celebrations of all sorts – reunions, birthdays, weddings, & more – are welcome.

Apartment Vacation Rentals
A few years ago we added 98 Mill St to our family and think you’ll find this 1812 house to be fresh and relaxing after our recent renovation. Folks just love the off-street, private parking and amazing location just two blocks from Thames Street. Each apartment has high ceilings, open-concept kitchen and dining and living room, a wonderful gas fireplace, and either one or two bedrooms.
